Ilkhchi the capital of Ilkhchi district, is a new and more modern small city than its neighbor small cities.Ilkhchi is a agricultural-industrial city and because of its attractions such as job opportunities, tolerant people and small distance from province capital, Tabriz, has gathered many immigrants in recent 30 years as they are half of its population. Most of ilkhchi people believe in "Ahl-e Haqq".
